![]() ![]() ![]() The Denver Broncos’ new ownership will ultimately decide whether or not the team will wear completely new uniforms at some point in the future. The team isn’t required to be wearing any sort of new uniform on a year-to-year basis, but fans have been waiting forever for the team to rock the uniform combination and lighter shade of blue we saw throughout the 70s, 80s, and 90s.Įven if the team doesn’t have the best memories in those uniforms, they look good and that version of retro is really “in” right now. The Broncos aren’t doing anything “new” as far as we know this season, and that’s becoming a bit of a letdown among the fan base. The team technically has a decent mix of uniforms and combinations with the standard home and away, the color rush, and the two “throwback” options of the blue tops with white trousers and the blue tops with the blue trousers.īut what about something fresh? What about bringing back an even older throwback? The Broncos last wore that as their primary home uniform back in the 2011 season before they changed to the orange tops in 2012. We’ll also undoubtedly see the blue tops with the white trousers which is technically a throwback nod at this point. The Denver Broncos will almost certainly be wearing their color rush uniforms again this season, and those have become one of their best uniform combinations, no question. Other teams, like the New York Giants, are apparently going to be rocking some true throwback uniforms throughout the season, also utilizing that new helmet rule. The more time passes, the more you can’t help but wonder if the Denver Broncos are like Squidward, looking down through his blinds at Spongebob and Patrick out having all the fun while he’s stuck inside.Īll of these other NFL teams are announcing their cool uniform updates for the 2022 NFL season. Well done, Flip!Ĭhris “Flip” Valenti, the #Broncos' equipment manager, took on the tedious task of cutting out background in the Color Rush helmet. It would have been much easier to have the supplier re-ship correct logos, but they wouldn’t have arrived in time for Saturday’s game against the Buffalo Bills.Ĭhris “Flip” Valenti, the team’s equipment manager, used an X-Acto knife to cut out the white around the bronco, according to KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis. To fix it, a Broncos staff member spent “most of the day” Thursday cutting out the white to reveal the blue, according to KCNC-TV Ryan Greene. The bronco had a white background instead of the usual transparent background that revealed the blue helmet. When the Denver Broncos posted a video of their Color Rush helmets on social media earlier this week, something didn’t look right. ![]()
